Abstract
Douglas Huntly Gordon, Jr. was born in Baltimore in 1903. During the 1930s, he served in the Maryland legislature. In 1938, he founded the Mount Vernon Improvement Association and spent much of the rest of his life fighting to retain the original architectural integrity of Baltimore's Mount Vernon Place. John Martin Vincent (1857-1939) years was a Professor of European History at Johns Hopkins University. This collection consists of correspondence, scrapbooks, subject files, and personal materials ranging in date from 1881 to 1925. The bulk of the material is correspondence dating from 1900-1910.
